Crinoid Groups 1-5       1       2       3       4       5       OTHER PARTS

So far in this formation, I've found 11 crinoids (cup, calyx, crown...) as well as many other crinoid parts (mostly columnals). There are at least 5 species represented among the specimens (and probably more - pending current research). I've separated them into 5 groups for now, and on this page I've listed them in the order in which I found the first one of each group (the number of each individual specimen is in relation to the order in which I found that particular crinoid in this formation - not according to its order within the particular group).

I am currently studying the specimens which I've placed in the "Group #1" category to determine whether they are slightly different members of the same species or perhaps different species from each other. I only have one each of the other species. So, I'm calling them Species #2 and 3.

I will add the 3rd species and other crinoid parts as I get them photographed and uploaded.

As I mention elsewhere in my paleontology section, someday I will actually take (and post) better, more worthy photos of all of the fossils which I display here. For now though, these will just have to do.  :)
