Sandi, the Fossil Journey Cruiser:
a Boulder Sandstorm at Every Fork in the Road

Magnolia Road (20080403)

This is the view of the scenery to the North, which includes Sugarloaf Mountain;
on a Forest-Service-road-off-shoot from Magnolia Road
(which goes South-West from Boulder Canyon just East of where Sugarloaf Road goes North-West).

I'm not so much into the slushy, zero-traction conditions in the snow with my highway tires, but
this thing is just amazing! I am now able to go for a nice, calm stroll in the woods in places that
would have been quite an off-roading challenge (taking up all of my time just spinning) in the past.

Yep. This is the real thing. The rocks, the trees, the mountains, the snow, the FJ.

I imagine, it probably does get better than this,
but I'm a bit hard-pressed to figure out how at the moment.

Here's a view looking to the North-West from the Boulder Canyon over-look on Magnolia Road
(Sugarloaf Mountain in the background; just above Sandi's hood).

Another view from the same spot; this time looking almost directly North.

Here's one while standing on the rear bumper at the same spot; looking more North-East-ish.
I guess I would be exagerating to call it a shear drop-off, but I think you get the point.
