This was originally intended to be a pre-event trail run before heading down to Aurora for the third annual 'Cruzin' Havana'.
Here's the forum thread about that event...
FJCruiserForums.com - Calling out all you FJ Owners!

As it turned out, we ended up being out on the trail for about 10 hours that day,
and did not bother even mentioning the Cruizin' Havana even to each other once we got off trail and headed to
Tommyknocker Brewery and Pub in Idaho Springs.

On to the trail run...
This time, JammerGirl was out of town. So, it was just Sandi and me.  ;)
I met up with FJinCO (Titanium Metallic FJC) at the Downieville gas station/Starbuck's parking area,
and headed to Empire from there after waiting for a while and saw that no one else was going to make it.

We went up to Bill Moore Lake via the regular route (i.e. not Red Elephant Hill; I'll try that after Sandi's lifted some day).

Here's the forum thread for this trail run...

I took this shot on my way out of town, as I was just getting going for the day.
I liked the sunlight streaks. It looked better in my mind at the time, but oh well.  :)

With all the snow melting up above, there was plenty of water running in little streams here and there.

Here's the first look on the page of FJinCO's new tube doors.

I love trails like this where you can see the others going by above you.

I know there are way too many photos in this set, but I included ones like this simply because they look so clear.
My camera's lens is dirty right now and really needs to be cleaned, and I was just surprised this one appears so clear.

Going up a steeper spot

Going down a steeper spot...

Not anything crazy, but this one was between 15 & 25 degrees, and I decided to just throw one in that shows
a real-world (though obviously not extreme) look at the inclinometer.

Next, we got to our first snow obstacle of the day.
Here's the next page.
