Introduction: What is this section all about?
As I say in the subtitle to this page, it is about "how considering where we've been can help us deal with where we're at and plan for wherever we
might go in the future". I'm interested in studying about our species' past in order to better
understand how we got the way we are today. Also, I think that doing so can
enable us to live better lives on into the future.
I don't really know quite yet whether or not my educational desires and goals or my passion for helping others really fits into any single field.
However, I think the areas of scientific study listed below my comments on this
page are most likely a
good place for me to get started in my search. At present (20031019), my
main interests seem to be related to the area of evolutionary psychology and
sociobiology.
The articles listed above on this
page are my attempt at breaking into the following fields of study.
Evolutionary
Biology, Evolutionary
Psychology, Paleopsychology,
Sociobiology,
Human Evolution,
Human
Ecology and
Paleoanthropology
