Sadly, we all knew it was coming.....the vacation was just about over,
but we packed a bunch more fun into this last day of the trip; starting off with the 4th annual 'Group Photo Shoot'.

Starting at the second Summit (2008), the town closes down Main Street for an hour or so, starting at 6:00 AM
in order to allow us to line up the FJs and get photos of everyone together.

Of course, not everyone shows up (some are still sleeping off the party the night before, and others have already gone home),
but it's usually a pretty good turn-out, regardless.

If you want ALL of my photos from this day, click ---> here <---  (VERY LARGE ZIP FILE)

Here are the shots I picked out to put up here on Sandi's site....

Here's Sandi; sitting in a crowd of siblings at the Sunday morning group photo event

The next few shots are from the grassy meadow on top of the mountain near top center of this photo...

Every time we're in town, I always look up and say that I wish I could go up there some day. Well, this time, we did it.

This is a wide view of the Ouray area from up there...

This shows the primary area of interest on Main St. in downtown Ouray,
especially for the Sunday morning Group Photo Event...

Memories will fade, but photos and friendships will last.
Thanks guys.

:(     always the saddest part of the trip for me.....rolling out of Ouray.
The cool thing though is that we occasionally get to do this sad part of our Ouray trip with others.
This trip back to the Front Range area was truly a fun day, and I'm glad we all did it together like this.

Just outside (North) of Ridgway, we stopped at the visitor center for Ridgway State Park,
and treated our selves to one last grand view of the Sneffels Range (the 14er Mt. Sneffels is the peak just left of center).

JammerGirl and I went here for the first time on our way back fro Ouray on Independence weekend,
and thought others would like to see it this time around.

This vantage point is just a short walk down a trail from the visitor center parking lot

longing for Ouray...

I just had to do this

As we rolled through Georgetown (@ ~.5 miles per hour), we stopped by to say hi to Athena and Bill at their shop,
'An Athena Beautyque' (featuring fine lady's apparel, their own hand-made jewelry, and other stuff to come
...I heard of a coming line of menswear upstairs).

a beautiful sunset was the perfect end to a great trip with friends and the beautiful Colorado mountains

Well, that's it for this trip. Thanks to all of the friends we got to spend time with, and those we met anew at the Summit, etc.
Thanks also again to everyone involved with making the Summit what it is each year.
Last but not least, thank you to the great little town of Ouray. We really appreciate it.

I wanted to focus on getting the Summit related pics up here first,
and now I will be adding stuff here from the days of this trip prior to the official FJ Summit days.
